I was given the opportunity to revisit how we were thinking about armor systems in Fury, trying to solve for a few problems we didn't quite have the answers for when I first started designing armor for Fury. One problem is that we wanted to get an exoskeleton brace system integrated into the soldier, and another was getting two large weapon systems mounted on the character's back.
I ended up putting the exoskeleton under a layer of kevlar/cloth that's more protective of the mechanical bobs and bits. Plus I feel like I've seen the whole exoskeleton over a soldier thing fairly often.
I also wanted to completely re-do the back-mounted weapon systems, because the ones I previously designed were too visually noisy with the belt, arms, and gigantic guns all taking up significant space. So I simplified it down to make the belt, arms, and guns one and the same.
