First sketch I did for the project. We wanted to start small and work our way up in the environments, so we started with a simple prop to get an idea of how this alternate-timeline Seattle worked
Vending machine, powered by monster magic
Paint-overs by the AD, Wes Parker
Seattle bus-stops, retrotechified
First sketch of a mission hologram table
Second pass at the hologram table
Car sketches. Ended up finding a lot of inspiration in chunky 80s Hot Wheels
Seattle's HEAVY DUTY bus
The KETSUEKI NS-4R2
50-100 years later
Even though we were against hover-cars, a hover-train ended up making it's way through
A Johnny-Cab-like forklift
Early on, the vision for the game was to have neon all over, and one of the ways we went about that was making the neon a power-source that's using energy from the Monster's dimension. This ended up tying in with the backstory of Frankenstein.
More heavy-duty generator, ones that power entire neighborhoods
Local energy sources
Treasure chests made from old human stuff
This world is set in an alternate-80s where an endless energy source, with dire consequences, leads to a technological boom. However all this tech hasn't been through the design evolution of miniaturization
Designers wanted some greeble props to make the world reflect more of that technology-everywhere vibe
